Help ROBINS find food to eat
ROBINS are back and no earthworms or bugs to EAT ? You can help out by providing: * small fruit, such as cranberries & raisins (soak them in water if hard) * Robins love suet, dried mealworms, and sunflower hearts * Place a bird bath outside, they love to take baths * Put up a nesting box to attract a breeding pair WILD BIRD CONNECTIONS have a great selection of food for the Robins, nesting boxes, and bird baths.
AMERICAN ROBIN FACTS: * Robins can produce 3 successful broods in 1 year * Only 25 percent of the fledged young survive to November * From the 25%, only half will survive to the next year * Robins can live to 13 years old, but the average is 6 year old * Robins are considered to all arrive in the Spring, but many spend the winter in their breeding range * Robins eat a lot of fruit in the Fall & Winter * Robins eat different types of food depending on the time of day. More worms in the morning and more fruit later in the day.
